I’m a theatre stagehand, and I take pics of the casts I work with holding Star Wars figures. Safe to say this is the feather in my cap, from when I worked with him on Night of the Iguana.   The book happens to be the second book of the Lincoln Rhyme series that I’ve read. I enjoyed the first book so much I immediately purchased the second one after finishing it. “The Coffin Dancer,” started a bit slow, but the pace picked up about a quarter of the way into the book.

Read the book several times with the children so they become familiar with the rhythm and rhymes of the text. Encourage them to read along as they learn the story. Plan the following activities to help the children identify and create rhyming words: Tell the class that you will leave out some of the rhyming words as you reread the book.   OPENING RHYMES: Open, Shut Them; Two Little Blackbirds; BOOK 1: Red Light, Green Light by Anastasia Suen. ACTION RHYME/GAME: Green Says “Go” Show a traffic light and explain that red means “stop,” yellow mean “slow,” and green means “go.” I use green, yellow, and red pieces of paper to hold up for visual aids while doing this.
